New Zealand Post is moving its Dunedin operations in late
January from its current position at 233 Moray Pl to 310
Moray Pl, the site formerly occupied by Colortronics Dunedin.
An NZ Post spokesman told the Otago Daily Times the shift was
necessary because the current premises did not meet the
company's seismic code which was higher than the code adopted
by the Dunedin City Council.
The company had a minimum ratio with which it needed to
comply.
The old post shop would close at 2pm on Friday, January 25,
and the new one would open at 8.30am on Monday, January 28.
All staff would transfer to the new shop which would offer
the same range of services and products. A new fitting-out
would include the latest Post Shop design.
