Dunedin Venues Management Ltd continues to be in talks about
bringing another international act to Forsyth Barr Stadium,
but any guesses as to who that might be are simply conjecture
at this stage, a spokeswoman says.
After the announcement Paul Simon would play at the stadium
in April, DVML chief executive Darren Burden confirmed he was
in talks aimed at securing another major international act
this year.
If confirmed, the concert would be of similar or larger scale
to Simon's show, and would be staged later this year, Mr
Burden said at the time.
A spokeswoman yesterday said no decisions had been reached
yet.
She would not be drawn on the possible act and any guesses at
this stage would only be ''hearsay and speculation'', she
said.
She declined to comment further.
Mr Burden could not be contacted, but said in January DVML
was working on ''a couple of things'', but one
''opportunity'' had advanced further than others.
