The St Leonards' community has paid tribute to "two
lovely, caring and bright children" following their deaths last
Notices published in the print edition of today's Otago Daily
Times paid tribute to Bradley, 9, and Ellen, 6, Livingstone,
who were killed by their father in the St Leonards home the
children shared with their mother, Katharine Webb.
A notice from the community and board of St Leonards School
described Bradley and Ellen as "lovely, caring and bright
children", who had "so much potential".
"Taken so early and so cruelly from us. Katharine, our
deepest sympathies and thoughts are with you and your
family," the notice read.
Another notice paid tribute to Bradley's "quirky sense of
humour, energy and unending devotion to your mum and little
"Your mum is a beautiful reflection of the love and light you
brought to her world and we love you for that," it read.
A notice for Ellen described how she "brought joy and
happiness to everyone you met".
"Our little dancing queen, you wrote music in our hearts and
we will continue your song," the notice read.
The notice to Bradley finished with - "You were mum's pride
and joy and that bond will always endure. We'll take care of
mum now, so rest easy and take care of Ellen".
A service for the children will be held at St Leonards School
at 2pm on Saturday. The family requested people give
donations to Women's Refuge instead of flowers.
