Tagger aims high

Graffiti has appeared on the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co Ltd building in Thomas Burns St.

The graffiti reads ''MACK TOGO'' and Roger Knauf, of Graffiti Doctor, said the tag was characteristic of various pieces of graffiti around Dunedin.

''That particular person has been responsible for a lot of height work around town,'' Mr Knauf said.

Because of its size, the best way to remove the graffiti would be a ''complete paint-out'', he said.

When contacted by the Otago Daily Times, the owner of the building did not want to comment.

Change finally

Once a great building. It's such a run-down dump now that should be bowled and the old Go cart words were misleading.

If you're in the construction business and own the most prominent heritage building within the registered Dunedin Harbourside historic area you'd think you'd look after the external guttering at the very least.

Street art

I think it's nice that someone wants to do something on a building left to rot. More street art I reckon. Let's commission the guy to do more 'height work'.

Well, at least it got rid of the 'false advertising' that there was indoor go-karting there (unless its the other side of the building I'm thinking of).

This is a very nice looking building, so it's a shame the owner doesn't seem interested in restoring it/tidying it up, or selling it if he can't afford to do that.

Very high traffic area too, which makes its appearance even more of a let down.
