Dunedin City Council staff have been investigating issues at
the East Taieri dog park to see what can be done after users
asked the council to tackle weed, drainage and lighting

the council in a submission on its draft annual plan for
Regulatory services manager Kevin Thompson reported back to
councillors on Friday that, following the submission, staff
had priced fencing for around the watercourse and lighting.
His team was also working with the parks and recreation team
to look at more regular maintenance. Staff planned to do the
work within existing budgets, he said.
Cr Kate Wilson, a Taieri-Mosgiel ward councillor, said she
had also suggested the group bring their concerns to the
Mosgiel-Taieri Community Board, which could help them look at
ways in which they could raise some community funding for the
work they wanted done.
