Cyclist injured at intersection

Emergency services use a stretcher to move an injured cyclist struck by a vehicle in Dunedin yesterday afternoon, as a fellow cyclist looks on.

The injured man was crossing at the intersection of Shore St and Portsmouth Dr at the time of the incident, Southern district deployment co-ordinator Senior Sergeant Matt Scoles said.

The visiting overseas academic suffered minor injuries. Inquiries into the incident were continuing.
