heritage consultant Guy Williams photographs the roof of
Dunedin's former prison from a Fire Service Bronto aerial
appliance, with the help of Senior Station Officer Bob
Dunedin Prison Trust chairman Stewart Harvey said the survey
of the front and side section of the slate roof and guttering
was part of the trust's preventive maintenance plan and would
also help inform its long-term specification plan. Keeping
the building watertight and preventing further damage was
paramount, he said.
The Fire Service used the event as a training exercise.
