Sisters Jade (9, left) and Erika (10) Fairweather work to
raise awareness about the practice of shark finning by
participating in a ''finathon'' at Dunedin's Dive Otago Ltd
The pair raised $100 for the cause and yesterday swam through
a hoop for every dollar they raised.
Erika said sharks were ''really cool'' and killing them for
their fins was ''not nice''.
''Sharks are like us and they don't deserve to be killed.''
She thought sharks had an unfair reputation.
''My friends are afraid of them and I'm not,'' she said
