Painting the new Plunket centre in South Dunedin yesterday are (from left) BNZ staff members Steve Hynes, Robyn McKinnel, Russell Robson, Kris Newall, Matt Lobb, Fraser Cox, Jackie Hawkes, Mel Rolton, Ross Wilson, Plunket project manager Matt Audet and BNZ staff member Mat Murray.

Plunket Otago and Southland acting area manager Jocelyn Johnstone said the ''superb'' volunteer decorators, a mix of BNZ and Plunket staff, got an ''amazing amount of painting done''.

The volunteers painted the interior of four rooms in the new Lorne St centre, making it look ''outstandingly different''.

''It is not a flash building and was looking rather grotty, but by the time I left it was looking a whole lot better,'' Mrs Johnstone said.

The BNZ staff were working as part of the bank's Closed for Good volunteering programme.
