Delta crew work on a transformer on the corner of Warrender and Queen Sts, Dunedin, yesterday morning.
A Delta spokesman said 550 consumers lost power supply at 8.45am and supply resumed for 480 consumers 20 minutes later.
Power to the remaining 70 consumers was restored at 11.30am. Power was cut by a tree growing into an overhead line, he said.
