Otago secondary school pupils took the stage last night to perform a selection of Shakespearean plays as part of the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival, at the King's and Queen's Performing Arts Auditorium in Dunedin.

Nine schools from around Otago are taking part in the festival, which will continue tonight.

The winning five-minute and 15-minute scenes will be selected to take part in the National Festival in Wellington at Queen's Birthday Weekend.
