Popular student bars Capone and Boogie Nites will re-open this Friday under new management, operator Sheldon Lye has confirmed.

The former bars, located at adjacent lots on the corner of George St and Frederick St, would be re-branded as one bar, called `Boogie'.

The bars were closed last month after previous manager Rob Dale decided  against renewing the lease.

The re-opening was announced this afternoon via Facebook post: "Boogie". Under new management. Open this Friday at 10pm. Come get amongst.''
