An anti-TPPA protest at the Dunedin Club has ended peacefully.

The protest was sparked by the presence of Trade minister Tim Groser's spokesman David Walker at the private club in Melville St.

Mr Walker was involved in one of several meetings nationally to explain the TPPA to invited parties.

The 20-strong group advanced up the driveway and had a stand-off with police about 20m from the main building.

The protest ended peacefully about 3.45pm.

The 6000-page legal text of the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement was released late last night.
