
The 2016 New Zealand Masters Games moved into vigorous competition yesterday.
About 700 attended the opening ceremony at the University of Otago Union on Saturday night and about 1000 people are expected through the village today.
Games manager Vicki Kestila said 2500 athletes had been checked in by yesterday with more than 4500 competing this week until Sunday.
