A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was seriously assaulted in South Dunedin.
The 43-year-old appeared in Dunedin District Court this morning charged with attempting to murder a female in Cutten St on Sunday.
He was remanded in custody by consent to appear in the High Court at Dunedin, by audiovisual link, on March 1.
Judge Kevin Phillips granted interim suppression of the man's name.
