Hive Dunedin consists of three member organisations - the Gasworks, Hatch, and Dunedin Makerspace.
The educational organisation aims to provide Dunedin youth with learning opportunities outside traditional classroom learning, which have a greater focus on increasing digital literacy.
Saturday's Maker Party was the first of four to be held this year, and consisted of one-hour sessions of robotics, web page-building, CSS and HTML, circuits, soldering, hoverboards, drones, online safety, game-making, hologram-making, engineering, and making boomerangs.
