Dunedin police have named a cyclist who died in Dunedin
Hospital after hitting a parked four-wheel-drive vehicle, at
speed, on Tuesday night.
David Edward John Hall (29), of Dunedin, suffered massive
head injuries when his mountain bike hit the vehicle in Barr
St, Kenmure, about 6pm.
He was wearing a helmet.
A member of the public tried to resuscitate Mr Hall, who did
not have a pulse and was not breathing.
He was attended by St John ambulance staff and transferred to
hospital, but died a short time later.
Mr Hall was married.
