The French navy patrol vessel La Moqueuse berthed at
Dunedin's Birch St wharf yesterday.
The 54m-long vessel, with a crew of 35, was in Dunedin as
part of a two-port goodwill tour of New Zealand, after an
earlier stop in Auckland.
The vessel's civilian agent, Dave Flower, of Empire Logistics
in Australia, said the crew planned to visit Dunedin's
tourist attractions while in port.
The vessel would be open to the public today, from 10am to
2pm, before sailing for its home port of Noumea, New
Caledonia, on Sunday.
