An armed man has robbed security guards outside a bank on Auckland's North Shore tonight.
A man with a gun made off with an undisclosed amount of money from the guards outside the ASB Bank Smales Farm about 5pm, Takapuna, police said.
He was picked up by another man driving a silver Mazda Familia hatchback, which was dumped nearby.
The men then left in a yellow hatchback.
Police want to speak to any witnesses to the robbery or people that saw either car.
