A 10-year-old boy has died in a quad bike accident on a farm in south Wairarapa today.
Police remain at a Kahutara Rd property in Featherston following the incident at 10am.
Emergency services were called to the farm where the boy was found under a quad bike.
"CPR was performed at the scene, but sadly the boy was deceased. Enquiries so far indicate that the boy had gone out on the quad bike and was found by his father a short time later," said Acting Senior Sergeant Rob Rackliff.
Serious crash investigators are completing a scene examination and police have notified the coroner.
Victim Support and police are providing support to the family, said Mr Rackliff.
The name of the boy will not be released until all family members have been advised.
