A police campaign to reduce the number of people killed in
truck accidents was only a few hours old yesterday when a
"shocking" head-on collision killed one log-truck driver and
left another seriously injured.
Two men accused of setting Auckland man Shalvin Prasad on
fire allegedly filled two containers of petrol on the night
of the murder, according to police.
A former hillside mansion which once commanded one of the
most priceless views in Christchurch has been demolished in
an emergency operation today after fears it could topple down
a cliff.
