Police have released the name of the motorcyclist who died he
collided with a truck on SH6 between Nelson and Rai Valley
yesterday.
He was Allan Ford (73) from Horsham, West Sussex in the UK.
Mr Ford had been holidaying in New Zealand for several weeks.
He was riding with four other motorcyclists when the accident
happened.
No-one else was injured in the crash.
A serious crash investigation is under way to determine the
cause of the accident.
