A pregnant woman was last night in a serious condition after
being stabbed in the stomach in Auckland.
The woman, in her twenties, was taken to Middlemore Hospital
with serious injuries.
Northern ambulance communications team manager, Norm Ngatai,
said staff were called to an address in Weymouth in South
Auckland, shortly before 11pm.
"A female in her early twenties has been stabbed in the
stomach area. We've taken her to Middlemore emergency
department and she's in a serious condition," Mr Ngatai said.
A person was last night helping police with enquiries.
