Three in hospital after Auckland brawl

Several youths were arrested after a drunken brawl erupted in central Auckland overnight.

Police said the fight broke out on the corner of Queen St and Custom St just after 1am.

Police and ambulance received multiple calls about a group of 10 to 20 drunken youths fighting in the street.

A number of people were injured and were treated by St John personnel, police said.

The group dispersed when the police tactical response unit arrived.

Three people remain in Auckland Hospital with minor injuries.
