Key census information on the make-up of the country will be released by Statistics New Zealand today.
Data will be released on the population count, ethnicities and where people choose to live, Statistics NZ said.
Also revealed today will be changes to the population between 2001 and now.
There will also be information released about Maori on ethnic groups and descent, and will include age, language, income, qualifications, work, and iwi, at both national and regional level.
The information will be released mid-morning.
