A man died in a tractor accident on a property on the outskirts of Gisborne this morning.
Emergency services were called to the property at 8.50am.
"A man aged about 65 was fatally injured in the accident, which happened in a paddock on the property," a police spokesman said.
"A police and WorkSafe inquiry is under way."
The man, who has yet to be named, died at the scene.
