A man is in Southland Hospital with serious injuries after being trapped under a tree.
Emergency services were called to a property in Bay Rd, near Invercargill, about 2.45pm today.
A St John spokesman said little information on the incident was available, but it was understood the man, in his 30s, became trapped under a tree that had fallen.
Two ambulances and a rapid response unit attended, the spokesman said.
