The search continues for two siblings who haven't been seen since Monday night when they left a rural South Auckland property with a large suitcase.
Police have launched a major search and rescue operation to look for 15-year-old Te Morehu McLean and his 7-year-old sister Anahera who left their Potter Rd home in Tuakau about 10pm.
"We do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances involved, however, we would really like to hear from anyone who knows their whereabouts, so we can confirm they are safe," police Inspector Kay Lane said today.
It is understood the children have contacts in the greater Auckland area and police suspect this is where they have possibly headed.
It is believed they may have been picked up and driven away in the dead of night from near their caregiver's home.
Police said they had no new updates and continued to appeal to the public for any information.
Te Morehu was last seen wearing Nike shoes, light-brown pants and a Kathmandu puffer jacket.
Anahera was dressed in a bedtime Frozen onesie.
