Shane Jones, Grant Robertson and David Cunliffe have put their names forward to be the new Labour Party leader.
The "Labour's got talent" show will roll into Dunedin as the three MPs trying to become the next leader of the Labour Party take their case to southern party members.

Grant Robertson, Shane Jones and David Cunliffe start touring the country from Saturday when the first of the leadship husting meetings will be held in Levin.

The meetings will be a two-hour format involving speeches from all candidates, questions and answers from the audience and a mix and mingle afterwards. The Dunedin meeting will be held on Sunday, September 8.

The meetings also offer an opprtunity for members of the Service and Food Workers to cast their votes.

Party members who have received their votes in the mail can vote by post, electronically or through the ballot box at the meetings.

The caucus and membership have 40% of the vote each with trade unions having 20%.
