The earsplitting roar of finely tuned engines and the smell of exhaust and warm rubber confirmed without question where the Fuchs Coronet Peak Hill Climb was being held on Saturday.

Motor sport fans watched almost 50 rally cars as they raced against the clock on the access road to the skifield on Saturday, then on a private unsealed track for the Tucker's Beach Gravel Hill Climb yesterday.

The events were hosted by the Queenstown Car Club in association with Motorsport New Zealand.
