A public lounge, complete with bar, on Buckingham Green was a new addition for the second annual Arrowtown Long Lunch.

Fine cuisine, good company, music and sunshine were on the menu for 300 residents and visitors at the Arrowtown Long Lunch on Sunday.

QT Event Management general manager Malcolm Blakey was delighted the number of patrons was up from 222 at the inaugural lunch last year and that 13 Arrowtown eateries participated, up from 10.

The three-hour charitable event was in aid of the Queenstown Trails Trust for the ongoing development and maintenance of the trails around Arrowtown.

Additions this year were singers and musicians, a Riverton artist who created a ''live'' art work of Buckingham St hosting the lunch - for auction at the end - and a temporary open-air lounge with bar set up on Buckingham Green.
