All-terrain responders

The three identical Toyota Land Cruisers were unveiled at an event at Novotel Queenstown Lakeside hotel on Friday.

Mr Raymond said the vehicles were a ''go anywhere, do anything beast'' equipped with mobile data terminals, GPS and Stryker stretchers.

Two will be based in Queenstown and one in Wanaka. They join a fourth ambulance response vehicle that has been stationed in Glenorchy for the past 18 months.
