A trial date has been set for three men charged after an alleged kidnapping in Queenstown late last year.
Pita William Hapurona Wilson, of Glenorchy, Joshua Vient, and Mark Junior Taylor, of Bluff, have each denied charges of kidnapping Joseph Armstrong, Andrew Lee and Casey Johnston on November 25 or 26.
They individually or jointly face other charges including wounding Mr Armstrong with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and supplying drugs.
They denied those charges too.
The men appeared before Judge Mark Callaghan in the Invercargill District Court on Friday, Vient and Wilson by audiovisual link and Taylor in person.
He remanded them for a jury trial in Invercargill on May 23, scheduling two weeks for it.
Vient and Wilson were remanded in custody and Taylor on bail.
Three women each facing one charge of being an accessory in relation to the kidnapping also had their cases called on Friday.
Ashleigh Jane McMillan, whose appearance was excused, and Amanda Jane Nicolls, who was at court, were remanded on bail for a hearing in Invercargill on October 23.
Their solicitors said they intended to apply to have the charge against them dismissed.
The third woman, Susanne Vient, who was at court, was remanded on bail to appear again on December 16.
Judge Callaghan suppressed matters which arose during her appearance.
