Investigators will today assess the site of a helicopter crash which killed Otautau man Liam Edwards (32) and hospitalised pilot Murray Sarginson (51) on Saturday.
Civil Aviation Authority spokesman Mike Richards said investigators yesterday deemed the site, about 1km east of Lindis Pass Rd, too dangerous to reach due to low visibility.
The three investigators undertook follow-up activities in Te Anau, Cromwell and Athol, he said.
Mr Sarginson was yesterday in a stable condition at Dunedin Hospital.
