Ice and infrastructure preparations at the Naseby indoor
curling rink are well under way for the curling section of
the New Zealand Winter Games, which begins begins next Friday
and runs until Sunday, August 28.
Sean Becker has skipped the winning curling team at the New
Zealand Open championships for the last three years. But he
has a new team this year and it will test his skills.
Sam Miller, the latest member of his family to represent New
Zealand, will make his international debut at the Junior
Pacific Curling Championships in Japan next week.
