Telecom is preparing for the final closure of its CDMA mobile
network, the network that saved its battered reputation
during the major XT network failures earlier this year.
Telecom last night
relaunched its marketing campaign for its fast, but troubled,
XT mobile network with an advertising campaign led by chief
executive Paul Reynolds and a 30-day risk-free trial.
A $75,000 "goodwill gesture" from Telecom will go towards
native plantings at Harbour Cone, Middlemarch and Warrington,
in Dunedin, after the company sought to make amends for the
failures of its XT system.
The Otago and Southland district health boards' compensation
package from Telecom is worth about $24,300, says regional
chief information officer Grant Taylor.
