Police have spent the day searching a Melbourne rubbish tip in Melbourne where possible human remains were spotted.
A worker at the Hampton Park tip glimpsed what might have been human remains at 9.50am before they were covered by incoming rubbish.
Police night said they would assess the situation before deciding whether to continue the search tomorrow.
