Frigid dip 'terrific'

Mrs Mason was the oldest of the 27 who took the chilly plunge at Friendly Bay.

The youngest was 6. ''It's been on the bucket list for years,'' Mrs Lory said.

''It was terrific.''

The fundraiser for the Oamaru Rowing Club raised $350. Former Oamaru woman Linda Bullard, now of Timaru, was named overall winner for entering the water dressed as a bride.
