Phoenix fans will have the opportunity to get up and close to the players when the side heads south this week.
The Phoenix is playing the first football match at Forsyth Barr Stadium, when it takes on A League champion the Brisbane Roar at 5.30pm on Saturday.
A Phoenix open training session will be held at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Friday, from 5.30pm-6.30pm. Entry is free and will be through the South Stand via gates A and H.
Fans can also meet their favourite Phoenix players at signing sessions at Otago Sports Depot and Wendy's Meridian Mall, on Saturday, from 10.15am-11am.
Wellington Phoenix chief executive Nathan Greenham said the Phoenix had a priority of mixing with supporters.
"The Wellington Phoenix is very much a community-based club. We understand that without the fans there is no club and we've worked hard, in a very tight schedule, to make the players available to meet the supporters in Dunedin," he said.
Dunedin Venues Management Ltd chief executive David Davies was delighted with the level of community engagement and was encouraging football fans from far and wide to show their support and make the most of a unique opportunity for the city.
"Hosting two football teams of this calibre in Dunedin is a great occasion for the South to show their support for professional football," he said.
About 6000 tickets have been sold already for the match, with officials hoping for a crowd of 10,000.
