Kiwi triathlete Andrea Hewitt has stormed to victory in the women's race of the ITU Auckland Triathlon.
Hewitt finished nearly a minute ahead of her nearest rival, winning the race in 2 hours 14 minutes today.
Japanese duo Tomoko Sakimoto finished second (2:15:09) and Mariko Adachi (2:15:23) was third to finish the podium.
The men's race began at 3pm.
