LAST SEASON
93 starts, 29 wins, $159,363

''Considering I had a bit of time overseas and didn't start until late, I was happy with that. The strike rate [0.4325] was good - it probably could have been better but I had to turn out some of those good ones later in the season. Belkmyster winning all those races was a highlight, as was getting King Kenny back. Mako Banner's progress was more than I expected, so when he comes back this season as a 4yr-old, he should probably be a pretty smart horse.''

THIS SEASON

''I've got a few of my own. We've got eight here and four others out elsewhere. That's probably more than I can do by myself, so I'll stick to about eight. The difficulty is I have King Kenny, Belkmyster and Ballindooley, who all have to race away in Christchurch, so we're just going to have to try to work around that somehow.''

DEPARTURES

''Dark Side has been sold. Highview Anwell is out in the paddock - he has some feet issues. It won't do him any harm - he's a bit mean and lean. He's just had a few ongoing problems.''

3YR-OLDS TO WATCH

''I'm really happy with my Art Major half to Mainland Banner [Titan Banner]. He'll make a serious horse one day but ''when'' is the question. I have a nice Art Major out of Jamie [Blue For You] - he's ready to hobble. And a nice Justa Tiger called Tiger Minx who I think will make the grade.''

2YR-OLDS TO WATCH

''We bought a Rocknroll Heaven at the sales called Crackabolt but we won't do much with him early on. If he's any good, he'll get going after Christmas.''

HORSE TO FOLLOW

''I just got one down from Auckland called King Cyril [12 starts, 1 win]. He seems to go all right. He's the only racehorse I've got, really. Titan Banner is going to be all right - but you never know what's going to turn up.''
