New Zealand will face Samoa in the cup semifinal of the Tokyo Sevens today after thrashing Argentina 40-5 in a quarterfinal.
Playmaker Tomasi Cama scored 13 points with a try and four conversions, but limped off with a leg injury in the second half.
Samoa edged Fiji 24-21 in their quarterfinal.
New Zealand lead the series with 111 points to Fiji's 109.
The New Zealand v Samoa match is scheduled to start at 5.30pm, with the final at 7.30pm.
Australia will play Wales in the other semifinal.
