Rugby: Hurst moves from hooker to loose forwards

Otago Country coach Roger Cotton has made two changes in personnel to the team beaten 37-34 by Southland Country last weekend for tomorrow's match against Canterbury Country at Lincoln.

Dynamic No 8 Nathan Hull, arguably the best player for Otago Country last weekend, is unavailable and has been replaced in the loose by regular hooker and captain Will Hurst. That means Heriot's Dylan McKenzie takes over from Hurst in the front row.

The other change comes at lock, where Steve Green is replaced by Isaac Hay.

Otago Country showed plenty on attack last weekend, creating several opportunities on the way to scoring five tries. Unfortunately, its defence was suspect, and it missed first-up tackles, especially around the fringes.

The side will miss Hull, who was great with ball in hand, but will be confident with an unchanged backline that has functioned well so far this year.

The match kicks off at 1pm.
