The Bulls got their campaign back on track with a 45-25 win over the Rebels at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
Bjorn Basson scored three tries of the Bulls' six tries, as the hosts raced out to a 42-3 lead midway through the second half.
They were unable to claim a bonus point though, as the Rebels hit back with four tries, three coming in 10 minutes, to deny the Bulls based on the new three clear tries rule.
The win sees the Rebels remain winless at Loftus Versfeld.
Both teams are on four competition points, having won a game each, with the Bulls coming fifth and the Rebels eighth in their respective groups.
