Competition leader Maniototo has the week off to heal its wounded while the next three teams on the points table all have a chance to leapfrog Maniototo on the table.
There are seven teams still with a realistic chance of making the playoffs, such is the closeness of the competition this season.
Arrowtown will be looking to make it two from two against near rival Wakatipu when the two sides meet at the Queenstown Recreation Ground tomorrow.
The first meeting between these two teams this season in round four ended in a two-point win to Arrowtown.
The visiting side will be without captain Aiden Winter, who has a nasty facial injury, for the foreseeable future but has shown squad depth, which has been a strength during this season.
The home team has been disappointing in its past two outings and coach Justin Pewhairangi will be hoping for a more committed effort from his players.
Roxburgh will only have to look at its most recent game against the in-form Matakanui Combined when it led until the 79th minute of the game, before a last-minute penalty gave Matakanui Combined a two-point win.
Coach Lance Davies will have been reminding his side of the need to play for the full 80 minutes to be competitive in this competition.
Roxburgh has had a difficult time since the last clash between the teams in Omakau and the Matakanui Combined coaching staff will know only too well the danger in any complacency creeping in.
Cromwell will be looking to bounce back after the disappointing loss to Arrowtown last week when it hosts a confident Upper Clutha at home in Cromwell. Upper Clutha is fresh off an excellent win last week against Wakatipu at Tarras.
Cromwell will need to play to the top of its game to overcome an Upper Clutha side which showed what it was capable of last week, after a couple of disappointing results in the previous two games.
Alexandra travels up the road to take on Clyde Earnscleugh at the Clyde Domain and will be hoping to reverse the first meeting between the two sides this season.
On that occasion, Clyde Earnscleugh came out a comfortable 22-3 winner.
The home side lies in fifth place on the points table and has shown itself to be very competitive in its return to the Central Otago competition this season.
The challenge for the Alexandra side is to play for the full 80 minutes.
Alexandra has competed with the best teams for the first 60 minutes only to go off the boil.
