The Makos march on.
Bay of Plenty have continued their impressive start to the
ITM Cup season, with a strong second half showing leading to
a 26-10 victory over Southland tonight.
Auckland will win matches much easier than this, without
dominating as much as they did in their 30-24 victory over
the defending champions.
What an absorbing contrast it was as Canterbury, with a layer
of All Blacks, used their full range of attacking ideas in a
20-15 win, against a Counties side who refused to budge on
Southland, directed by Lima Sopoaga in his first match since
starring for the All Blacks on debut in Johannesburg,
overcame Northland 27-18 in Whangarei.
