Fifteen education support services advisers from the
University of Otago College of Education are in Auckland this
week receiving training to help Otago primary and
intermediate schools implement the National Standards
programme.
Doris Lancaster, Glenis Sim, Ian Morrison, Ian Stevens, Jenny
Harrex, Joan Turner, Kat Freeman, Kate Rice, Marilyn Holmes,
Noel Johnson, Paul O'Connor, Pauline Douglas, Peter King,
Rosemary Smith and Viv Thompson are attending National
Standards Training for Trainers at the Waipuna Conference
Centre, Auckland.
A College of Education spokeswoman said the training sessions
would take three days and it was expected the 15 would then
begin training school leaders in the region.
All Otago schools would have received training by the end of
the first term, she said.
