Brisbane band here to learn

Brisbane Boys College pipe band, Brisbane's only pipe band, is braving Dunedin's chilly temperatures to pick up a few tips from its counterpart at John McGlashan College.

The nine-day visit includes workshops and public performances.

The John McGlashan pipe band is learning new songs and moves from the visitors and the 23-strong Brisbane band is "learning how to play in the cold".
