Potholes appearing but not a problem

Potholes have begun to appear across the Queenstown Lakes District with warmer weather in the district and the start of the annual thaw.

However, the council's dedicated road rehabilitation programme meant the problem this year had been mostly confined to Malaghans and Gorge Rds in Queenstown, QLDC roading manager Ian Marshall said.

"The good news is that potholes around the basin are in decline and where they have appeared we are already scheduled to work in the spring."
