New Zealand rock band Push Push are looking forward to playing at the Go Live Festival in the Christchurch Town Hall.
The Auckland based band broke up in the mid-90s, but their original lineup has reformed for a series of reunion shows this year.
They plan to deliver an explosive performance at the festival on August 22, close to 40 years after the group formed.
Along with fan favourites like Trippin’ and Song 27, the band will play songs from a new EP The Truth released in February.
Lead singer Mikey Havoc said with guitarists Silver and Andy Kane living in Sydney, they had to become “logistically smarter” when it came to recording new material.
"The process was all new because everything had to be done trans-Tasman.
"It took a bit to get comfortable with the process but the determination to get it right won out and we are very stoked with the results.
"Two weeks after the EP was released, we played four absolutely rip snorting shows around the North Island. So fun. Amazing crowds. A lot of love. I was really proud of us!"

"Obviously we are older and those people who loved it back then are older as well, but they are so into being there because we remind them of a time in their lives they have a lot of love for (which is very flattering).
"We also have a bunch of new songs and musically we are sounding s**t-hot, which is particularly satisfying.
"I also discovered at our recent shows that I dance completely differently to our songs than I used to. Different bits seem to be moving different ways.
"The fact we are even together and playing so many years after we began is bloody great. We are sounding the best we ever have; don’t miss it because there’s a very real possibility this could be our last ever gig.”
